T.G. Gordon

T.G. Gordon

Recently, I shared with a sister-friend that I’d never imagined feeling so uncertain and so excited at the same time. I told her that I felt sure that God had been busily placing people and events in my life to force me out of my comfort zone. Her response to me was, “Well, maybe that’s how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly.” Her statement resonated with me and reminded me immediately of my involvement with “Butterfly Confessions.” After more than twenty years of working in the field of educational psychology, many years of marriage and motherhood, being pushed out of my comfort zone was just what I needed to help emerge from my cocoon and spread my wings. It is my sincerest prayer that this labor of love that Yetta has conceived, created, and birthed will be the inspiration many more women need to spread their wings and take flight.

After viewing the performance and reading the book, Butterfly Confessions starts conversations across the country that are long overdue. Butterfly Confessions can and should be licensed for performances in colleges and theaters globally, but we need your help. Simply put, we need you to get involved.

Join us in our mission to increase awareness to put an end to violence against women and girls. Join us in our mission to continue to increase awareness about the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS especially among women of color in our community where women continue to be disproportionately affected at all stages of HIV infection.
